Referral Fees

Referral fees are the public incentive for bringing participation into Signa markets.
The basic idea is simple: if a user enters a market through your referral link, they are bound to you in that market. Every position they place in that market from then on generates referral fees for you — no need to share the link again.

Why referral fees exist
Referral fees make growth part of the user-facing system rather than something owned only by the platform.
They reward users who share markets and bring participation into those markets.
How referral links work
Referral links on Signa are market-specific. Each link is tied to a particular market.
When a user enters a market through your referral link for the first time, they are permanently bound to you in that market. Every position they place in that market from then on automatically generates referral fees for you — they don't need to use your link again.
This binding is exclusive and locked on first click. If another referrer later shares a link to the same market with the same user, it won't override the existing binding. The first referrer keeps the relationship.
To earn referral fees across multiple markets, you share separate referral links for each market. Bindings are independent per market — a user bound to you in one market can be bound to a different referrer in another.
A few things to keep in mind:
- referral binding is per market, locked on first click — one user, one referrer per market
- once bound, all of that user's future positions in the market generate fees for you automatically
- referral fees are separate from your own market winnings
- referral fees are not the same thing as creator fees
Sharing a referral link
Every market page has a Share & earn 2.5% button. Tapping it opens the share sheet with your personal referral link for that market. You can copy the link directly or share it through X, Telegram, Discord, WhatsApp, Reddit, or Warpcast.
The share sheet shows your referral link and real-time stats — referrals bound, fees earned, and total volume from your referrals in that market. How much you earn
Each position placed by a bound user generates a referral fee of 2.5% of their position amount — equivalent to 50% of the entry fee. This is distributed at the time the position is placed, not when the market resolves.
Referral fees have no time lock. Once distributed, they are available to claim immediately. This is different from creator fees, which are locked until the creator submits a settlement.
When a participant enters a market without a referrer, the 2.5% that would have gone to a referrer goes to the protocol treasury instead.
Claiming referral fees
Referral fees are claimable from the Earning section in the menu. Your total claimable balance is shown at the top, split between creator and referral revenue.
The Earning page shows your total claimable balance broken down by type.
The history section lists each earning entry by market. Tap Claim to withdraw that amount to your wallet.Referral fees are held in each market's contract independently. They do not aggregate automatically — if you have earned referral fees across multiple markets, you claim from each market individually.
What users should expect
Referral fees depend on actual participation, not just link exposure.
Sharing a link does not guarantee fees. The other user needs to enter the market through your link at least once to establish the binding. After that, fees are generated automatically from their positions in that market.
Referral fees vs. creator fees
These are different incentive paths:
- referral fees compensate distribution and user acquisition
- creator fees compensate market creation and creator-side market activity
Signa treats both as public-facing fee streams, but they serve different roles in the product.
